President of Mexico Presented with Bennett Recognition Award
The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, recently received a unique sculpture award created by Bennett Awards in recognition of his leadership and vision in transforming Mexico’s energy industry. President Peña Nieto received the prestigious IHS CERAWeek Global Energy Lifetime Achievement Award, which is awarded to individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact on the global energy future. For this award, President Peña Nieto received the bronze Bennett sculpture award “Departure,” designed by sculptor Tom Bennett.
American Advertising Awards Presents Bennett Custom Awards
The Triangle chapter of the American Advertising Federation (Triangle AdFed) commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award design for their 2016 American Advertising Awards (formerly called the ADDYs). The American Advertising Awards are the advertising industry’s largest competition. These custom awards featured unique 6” figurative sculptures that were cast in pewter, had a brushed pewter finish, and were mounted on 3” x 3” round black hardwood bases.
Steve Harvey, Quincy Jones Among Recipients of Bennett Recognition Awards from NATPE
The National Association of Television Production Executives (NATPE) honored Steve Harvey, Quincy Jones, Doug Herzog, Sophie Turner Laing and Norman Lear with Bennett custom awards as recipients of the 13th annual Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award. These awards recognize a select group of television professionals who exhibit extraordinary passion, leadership, independence and vision in the process of creating television programming. For these awards, NATPE worked with Bennett Awards to create unique custom glass desk plaque awards featuring a green tint and sub-surface engraving.
Smokey Robinson Receives Bennett Recognition Award from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Smokey Robinson received a Bennett recognition award from The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of their American Music Masters Series. These awards honor groundbreaking musicians who have helped shaped the evolution of popular music, and whose contributions and stories merit broader recognition. For the 8th year, the Rock Hall of Fame used the Bennett sculpture award “Harmonize” for these awards, which features a unique sculpture in the shape of a stylized music note.
Bay Area Business Hall of Fame Honors Marc Benioff and Charles Feeney with Bennett Recognition Awards
The Bay Area Council honored Marc Benioff, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Salesforce, and Charles Feeney, Founder of Duty Free Shoppers, with Bennett recognition awards in honor of their induction into the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame. The Bay Area Business Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements and contributions of Bay Area business leaders who have built some of the world’s most recognized and respected companies and brands. For these recognition awards, the Bay Area Council selected the Bennett Awards design Boundless, originally designed by renowned sculptor Tom Bennett.
‘Hiring Our Heroes’ Presents Bennett Recognition Awards
For the fifth consecutive year, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation presented custom sculpture awards created by Bennett Awards to the 2015 recipients of the 5th Annual Hiring Our Heroes Awards. The Hiring Our Heroes Awards recognize employers and individuals who have gone above and beyond to hire, retain, and honor our country’s military talent. In 2011, U.S. Chamber of Commerce commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new, unique custom award design for these awards. This design is a figurative bronze sculpture in the form of a combat serviceman on patrol.
Justin Bieber, Others Receive Custom Bennett Awards from Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon presented a group of deserving recipients – including pop icon Justin Bieber – with custom awards created by Bennett Awards for their 2015 Nickelodeon Halo Awards. Each year, the Nickelodeon HALO Awards honor real-life kids that are doing extraordinary things in their communities and "Helping and Leading Others" (HALO). For these awards, Bennett Award created a new custom award design in the shape of a baton. Each baton sculpture was fabricated out of aluminum, and featured an orange anodized finish with custom engraving. Justin Bieber’s HALO Hall of Fame Award was differentiated with a gold-plated finish.
Bayou Classic Commissions Custom Bennett Trophy
Bennett Awards created a new custom perpetual trophy for the Bayou Classic, an annual football game between Grambling State University and Southern University. This game is one of America’s greatest college sports rivalries, and represents a celebration of football, family, tradition and pageantry surrounding these Historically Black Colleges. Bennett Awards worked with the Bayou Classic to create a new, modern trophy design consisting of a football sculpture sitting atop of sleek geometric stand. The sculpture was mounted on a handcrafted wood base with a custom medallion in the shape of the Bayou Classic logo.
Kate Winslet, Amy Schumer, Dakota Johnson Among Bennett Awards Recipients
For the 9th consecutive year, a group of the movie industry’s biggest stars were honored with Bennett Awards as part of the 22nd annual Elle Women in Hollywood Awards. The Women in Hollywood Awards recognize women for their outstanding achievements in film, spanning all aspects of the motion picture industry, including acting, directing, and producing. The eight recipients of these prestigious awards included actresses Kate Winslet, Amy Schumer, Dakota Johnson, Salma Hayek, Carey Mulligan, Alicia Vikander, Gena Rowlands and director Ana DuVernay. The awards are based on a custom sculpture design originally created by Bennett Awards in 2007, and Bennett Awards has produced the awards since then.
XPRIZE Commissions Bennett Custom Awards
Bennett Awards created custom recognition awards for the $2M Wendy Schmidt Ocean Health XPRIZE, a global competition that challenged teams of engineers, scientists, and innovators from all over the world to create pH sensor technology to accurately and affordably measure the acidification of our oceans. XPRIZE is the leading organization solving the world’s Grand Challenges by creating and managing large-scale, high-profile, incentivized prizes in five areas: Learning; Exploration; Energy & Environment; Global Development; and Life Sciences. Bennett Awards collaborated with XPRIZE to create a new, unique custom award that combined both metal and glass.
