American Advertising Awards Presents Bennett Custom Awards
The Triangle chapter of the American Advertising Federation (Triangle AdFed) commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award design for their 2016 American Advertising Awards (formerly called the ADDYs). The American Advertising Awards are the advertising industry’s largest competition, and attract more than 40,000 entries per year. The mission of the American Advertising Awards competition is to recognize and reward the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising.
This local awards ceremony, which is centered in the Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill region, was the first tier of a three-tier national competition. In the second tier, local ADDY winners compete against winners from other local clubs in one of 15 district competitions. District ADDY winners than compete in the third tier, which is the national American Advertising Awards.
The Triangle AdFed worked with Bennett Awards to create new custom awards for their 2016 competition. These awards featured a unique 6” figurative sculpture with a timeless, classic style, reminiscent of the art deco style in the Roaring 20’s. These sculptures were cast in pewter, featured a brushed pewter finish, and were mounted on 3” x 3” black hardwood bases. The bases featured engraved plates with the competition and winners names.
These unique awards were presented to winners at the Triangle AdFed’s 2016 Gala, held February 19, 2016 in Durham, North Carolina. More information on these awards can be found at http://triangleadfed.com/content.php?page=American_Advertising_Awards.
