For the 9th consecutive year, the Bay Area Council, a business-sponsored, public policy advocacy organization for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area, presented Bennett recognition awards to their annual inductees into the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame. The 2015 recipients of these awards were Marc Benioff, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Salesforce, and Charles Feeney, Founder of Duty Free Shoppers Group. Both Benioff and Feeney were recognized for their heroic philanthropic work and immense business accomplishments.

Past recipients of these awards include Apple Co-Founder, CEO and Chairman Steve Jobs; HP founders William Hewlett and David Packard; Gap Chairman Donald Fisher; George Lucas; Oracle Co-Founder Larry Ellison; Sun Microsystems Chairman and Co-Founder Scott McNealy; Charles Schwab; Intel Co-Founder Gordon Moore; and Adobe Systems Founder John Warnock, among many others.

To honor their induction, Benioff and Feeney received the Bennett recognition award “Boundless”, designed by renowned sculptor Tom Bennett. These awards were cast in pewter, gold plated, and mounted on black marble bases with custom engraving of the award name, recipient name, and the Bay Area Council logo.

Benioff and Feeney received their recognition awards at the Bay Area Council’s 70th Anniversary Annual Dinner and 2015 Business Hall of Fame gathering, held October 28, 2015 at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
