Meg Whitman, Alice Waters Among Bennett Awards Recipients
Meg Whitman, Alice Waters and John Sobrato all received unique awards from Bennett Awards as part of their induction into the Bay Area Business Hall of Fame. These recognition awards, hosted by the Bay Area Council, recognize individuals for their business achievements that have made an enduring impact on countless lives and communities across the Bay Area, as well as their long-standing philanthropic leadership. This is the 12th consecutive year Bennett Awards has provided awards for this induction event.
Meg Whitman is the current CEO of Quibi, and has held CEO roles with eBay and HP. Alice Waters is the founder and owner of the world-renowned restaurant Chez Panisse and The Edible Schoolyard Project. John Sobrato is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Sobrato Organization.
These recipients all received the Bennett Awards sculpture design “Boundless”. These unique sculpture awards were cast in pewter, and then gold-plated. They were mounted on black marble bases with gold-fill engraving of the award name, recipient name, and the Bay Area Council lgo.
