NBC’s FASHION STAR Wins Bennett Recognition Award
NBC’s series FASHION STAR was recently awarded a Bennett recognition award by the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE), a professional association of television and emerging media executives.
FASHION STAR received the 2013 NATPE Innovator Award, which is presented each year in recognition of outstanding achievement in non-scripted programming. Recipients of this award showcase extraordinary passion and leadership, leveraging their platform in new, innovative and productive ways.
More specifically, FASHION STAR was recognized for its leadership in the second screen programming experience, advanced real-time digital strategies, organic brand integration, and social media initiatives. FASHION STAR is a pioneer in seamlessly bridging the gaps between traditional broadcast, digital platforms and cutting edge retail e-commerce.
For this achievement award, NATPE selected the unique Bennett recognition award "Eternal Spirit". This award featured custom engravings on its marble base of the NATPE logo, the award name, and award recipient.
This recognition award was presented to FASHION STAR at NATPE’s PitchCon 2013 conference, the premier Hollywood event for independent content producers. This is the sixth straight year that NATPE has used Bennett Awards for this award. Past recipients include The Glee Project, Coming Home, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, The Biggest Loser, and American Idol.
