Deepak Chopra Receives Consciousness Award Designed by Bennett Awards
Bennett Awards worked with Modern Nirvana to design an award that was presented to alternative medicine advocate, Deepak Chopra.
The award, pictured below, was presented in front of hundreds of attendees at the Modern Nirvana Conference held in Austin, Texas on Saturday, August 14. Chopra was honored as the Keynote of this year’s conference.
About The Design
The approach to the design was to incorporate an element of being reflective. The shapes themselves reflect inward or outward giving your 'self' your own reflection.
The custom award concept is also based on the top level ideas of dualism. It is meant to act as passive symbols of positive/negative, good/bad, give/take or internal/external. The shape effects, by bending and warping, the light around the highly reflective surface. This symbolizes a perspective shift of thinking or being. The inward, upside down element symbolizes condensed reflections, and the outward symbolizes elongated reflections.
