The awards ceremony was held August 25, 2018 at The MAX, located in Meridian, Mississippi.
Last year, for The MAX’s inaugural class of Hall of Fame inductees, Bennett Awards worked with The MAX to design a new, unique custom award design. The award design is based on The MAX’s logo. The awards are produced from fabricated aluminum. An extrusion process is used to create a vertical geometric obelisk in the shape of The MAX logo. For the finish of these unique awards, they are bead-blasted and anodized black. The aluminum body of the sculpture awards is laser engraved with The MAX logotype, award name, and recipient name. These custom awards stand 12” tall.
This is the second year these recognition awards have been used to honor the Hall of Fame inductees. Last year’s recipients included Oprah Winfrey, Morgan Freeman, Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, William Faulkner, John Grisham, and Tennessee Williams, among many other deserving recipients.
