Custom Awards Created for Comic-Con

Bennett Awards created a new custom award design for Comic-Con, a multi-genre entertainment and comic book convention held annually in San Diego. These custom awards will be used to honor inductees into the Comic-Con Museum Hall of Fame. The first award produced was used to recognize Batman’s induction in the Hall of Fame – the first fictional character that has been inducted.

For this recognition award, Bennett Awards created a design in the form of a rectangular block. The block was produced from aluminum, and then black anondized. A clear acrylic square at the top of the block contained the Comic-Con logo. The Comic-Con logo, along with the award name, were also screen printed on the lower portion of the block.

This custom award was presented at a specual ceremony held July 17, 2019 at San Diego’s Balboa Park. The award presentation was the crowning moment of “The Gathering,” a special celebration that doubled as a preview of The Batman Experience Powered by AT&T, a pop-up exhibit in the Balboa Park location that will eventually become the physical home of the Comic-Con Museum.
