”The Biggest Loser” Receives Bennett Recognition Award
A Bennett recognition award was presented to NBC’s hit TV show “The Biggest Loser” on July 8, 2009 at NAPTE’s (National Association of Television Program Executives) LATV Festival. The Bennett recognition award "Eternal Spirit", designed by Bennett Awards artist Bob Bennett, was used for NAPTE’s 2nd annual Reality Innovator Award. The Reality Innovator Award recognizes outstanding achievement in non-scripted programming. Award recipients showcase extraordinary passion and leadership, leveraging their platform in new and innovative ways. “The Biggest Loser” was recognized for being an inspiring example of TV’s ability to touch the lives of viewers in a positive way.
The Bennett recognition award was presented to “The Biggest Loser” by Rick Feldman, NAPTE President and CEO. The unique award was accepted by JD Roth, Todd Nelson, Mark Koops and Dave Broome, the executive producers of the program, along with Ben Silverman, NBC Entertainment and Universal Media Studios Co-Chairman. The recognition awards presentation was held in Los Angeles at a gala celebration at Hyatt Regency Century Plaza.
