Bennett Custom Awards Designed For Red Bull Illume Awards

Red Bull commissioned Bennett Awards to develop a custom awards design for its inaugural Red Bull “Illume” award. The custom awards were presented to winners the Red Bull Illume Image Quest, the first ever international action and adventure sports photography competition. The Illume sculpture awards were presented on January 24, 2007, in Aspen, Colorado, prior to the beginning of the 2007 Winter X Games. 10 category winners received the award, as well as the overall competition winner – the Illume Image of the Year.

The Red Bull Illume Image Quest is an international photograph competition that celebrates the world of action and adventure sports. Photographers from over 90 categories submitted more than 7,200 photographic entries. The field was narrowed down to 50 photographs. From these, judges selected the top 10 category winners based on their embodiment of commitment, passion, and risk, as well as their technical superiority, creativity, artistic flair and overall excellence. They also selected the Illume Image of the Year, which was awarded to Fred Mortagne of France.
