World Polo League Founder's Cup
Bennett Awards created a family of custom awards for the World Polo League, a North American polo league that features the top players and most athletic horses in the world. Three different custom award designs were created, one for each of three separate tournaments. Each sculpture design was unique and tailored to that specific tournament.
One set of custom awards was created for the World Polo League’s 2020 Founder’s Cup. For the Founder’s Cup, Bennett Awards created a new, unique sculpture design in the form of a cylindrical cup. The cup’s surfaces are formed in the shape of a horseshoe, and the iconic horseshoe shape is visually communicated on the top rim of the cup. The sculptures are designed and produced in three different forms: a perpetual award which holds engraved plates listing each year’s winner; large cups for the players on the championship team, and smaller cups for all participants. Each of these sculpture awards is cast in bronze, and features a black-crackle patina. The top rim of the cup is high-polished to accentuate the horseshoe shape.
