U.S. Soccer Tournament of Nations Award

$0.00

Bennett Awards worked with U.S. Soccer to create a custom award for its Tournament of Nations award. The award is used as the championship trophy for each year’s tournament. Tournament of Nations is an international women’s soccer tournament, consisting of a series of friendly games between 4 different women’s national teams (WNT). The tournament is held in a round robin format, with each team playing the other teams one time. The tournament champion is decided by points: teams get 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.

In 2017, the inaugural year of the tournament, Bennett Awards worked with U.S. Soccer to create a new, unique custom award design. The main sculpture of this trophy features 4 curving, intertwined spires, with each spire representing one of the four participating teams. At the top of the sculpture, the spires spiral toward each other and hold a globe. The sculpture award is cast in pewter, and then gold plated. The sculpture is mounted on a custom polygon-shaped hardwood base. Each side of the base features personalized engravings of the tournament logo and each of the four competing teams.
