Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Sports Award
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) commissioned Bennett Awards to create new custom awards for their inaugural 2015 RWJF Sports Award. These recognition awards honor recipients for their innovative and influential approaches to using sports to build a Culture of Health in their communities. Approaches may include: using sports to help children with social and emotional learning, providing spaces for children to be active, and utilizing sports to help children with mental health challenges. These awards build on the former Steve Patterson Award for Excellence in Sports Philanthropy.
For this new recognition award, Bennett Awards worked with RWJF to create a new, unique custom award design based on the RWJF logo – a 3D interpretation of the logo in the form of a sculpture. After creating the custom award design and model, Bennett Awards produced the individual sculpture awards in bronze with gold patina and high-polished edges. The sculptures were mounted on rectangular black marble bases with gold-fill engraving on the top of the base.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Sports Award honors individuals, organizations and teams that are making communities healthier through sport and are dedicated to creating a Culture of Health.
