PokerStars PCA Trophies
Bennett Awards created a new, unique custom trophy design, and produced a set of custom trophies based on this design, for PokerStars, operators of the world’s largest poker site. This custom recognition award design was developed for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) tournament, PokerStar’s premier live event, and the largest poker tournament held outside of the USA. The tournament regularly comprises over 40 events, attracts over 5,000 competitors, and awards over $30 million in prize money.
Bennett Awards worked with PokerStars to create a custom trophy design that exemplified the stature of this event. The custom award design features a unique, elongated trophy cup design based loosely on the shape of a spade, a key element in poker. The front of the cup is cut lower than the back, revealing a 3D raised image on the back surface that is based on the PokerStars logo – a spade with a star cut out of the middle. The lower section of the cup holds a medallion with a raised image of the PCA logo. Below this logo medallion is a customized plate with the PCA logo and award name. These trophies, which stand approximately 20” tall, are cast in pewter, and feature a combination brushed pewter and silver plated finish.
In their inaugural year, 2012, Bennett Awards produced four achievement trophies based on this design. The first three recognition trophies (shown above) were created for the overall winners of the PCA’s three main events: the Main Event Champion, the High Roller Champion, and the Super High Roller Champion. All of these trophies feature an integrated base that is part of the design. The fourth trophy is a perpetual award (shown below) for the Main Event. This perpetual trophy has an award statue identical to the individual trophies, but is mounted on a 8” high pyramid-shaped black hardwood perpetual base. This base houses custom engraved plates with the name of each year’s Main Event Champion.
PokerStars operates PokerStars.com, the world’s most popular poker site. It has attracted more than 49 million registered members across the globe since its launch in 2001.
