Audi of America Custom Sculptures
Audi of America commissioned Bennett Awards to design and produce custom sculpture awards for use as grand opening gifts at new and remodeled Audi dealerships. These custom sculptures are placed in the lobbies of each applicable dealership.
There are two main components to these awards. The first, upper component is a custom sculpture created in the shape of a circular, spiraling racetrack. Three Audi cars are attached to the racetrack, representing past, present, and future Audi automobiles. The past is represented by a 1950s-era concept car, the present by the Audi Quattro®, and the future by Audi’s e-tron® plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV). Both the track and the cars are cast in pewter with a bead-blasted satin finish. The total sculpture measures approximately 16” x 14”.
The sculptures are mounted on 42” high custom bases made of resin and finished with white satin paint. The bases feature a cutout area at the top that holds engraved plates customized for each dealership. Each color-sublimated plaque includes the Audi logo, the dealership name, the date of the grand opening, and a text passage with additional details about the sculpture and key Audi attributes.
