Audi Cup Sailing Regatta Awards

$0.00

Bennett Awards created a set of custom corporate awards for an Audi-sponsored sailing competition. These custom trophies were selected by Audi for their Audi Cup Sailing Regatta, held annually off the coast of Dana Point, California. This regatta is sponsored by Audi Mission Viejo, and is part of a larger sailing competition: the Richard Henry Dana Charity Regatta at the Dana Point Yacht Club. All proceeds from this regatta benefit the Ocean Institute, an education center located in Dana Point that is nationally known for its hands-on marine science, environmental and ocean education programs.

Bennett Awards created four unique custom corporate awards for this competition. Two of these recognition awards - a perpetual trophy and an individual trophy - were created for the Farr 40 class sailing competition. These awards feature a customized version of the sculpture award "Voyager", designed by Bennett Awards sculptor Tom Bennett, that was scaled up to 12" tall. The perpetual trophy is mounted on a 10" x 8" x 4" black marble base, and features personalized engraved plates that are attached to the base each year. These customized plates contain the Audi logo, the name and year of the competition, and that year's winner. The individual trophies are mounted on a 7.5" x 4" round black marble base, and include custom engraved plates with the Audi logo, competition name, and name of the winning boat.

The other two achievement awards - also a perpetual trophy and an individual trophy - were produced for the J24 class sailing competition. These trophies are based on an 8" version of Voyager. The perpetual award is mounted on an 8" x 6" x 4" black marble base, while the individual awards are mounted on a 6" x 4" round marble base. These unique recognition trophies feature custom engraved plates similar to the Farr 40 plates described above.
