PJM Corporate Awards
Bennett Awards designed and produced these custom corporate awards for PJM Interconnection. These awards were created out of cast pewter. Different textures and finishes (light/dark) were applied to the pewter sculptures to highlight design elements (images, text) that were sculpted into the pewter. This custom award design showcases two unique attributes that can be incorporated into any of our custom award or trophy projects.
The first unique attribute is the layering that was incorporated into this design. In some of our awards and trophies, layers of different shapes and sizes are directly adhered to each other. In this design, however, space was left between the layers, so they were actually unique, discrete elements of the awards. A large, solid disk with the PJM logo sculpted into it is mounted towards the back of the award’s base. Then, a smaller, open ring with the PJM company values etched into the circle is mounted closer to the front of the base. This design creates a unique three-dimensional perspective from any viewing angle.
The second unique attribute is that two sizes of awards were created from the same basic custom award design. First, smaller awards were created for individual recognition (shown above). These smaller recognition awards consist of a 6” disk and a 5” ring, which are then mounted on a 6” x 4” x 2” black marble base. Next, a larger perpetual corporate award was created for display in the company’s lobby (shown below). This award utilized a 18” disk, a 16” ring, and was mounted on a 30” x 30” x 30” handcrafted hardwood base with a black lacquer finish.
