National Sporting Goods Association "All-Star Awards"
The National Sporting Goods Association (NSGA), the leading voice of the sporting goods industry since 1929, commissioned a new set of Bennett custom awards for a new recognition award program that they introduced: the “All-Star Awards”. The All-Star Awards recognize companies that have made the most outstanding achievements and contributions within the sporting goods industry throughout the previous year. The goal of the All-Star Awards is to honor behaviors that should be recognized and repeated throughout the industry.
For these company recognition awards, Bennett Awards created a new custom trophy design featuring a set of interlocking geometric shapes that connoted the essence of these awards. A key feature of these trophies was a prominent star (signifying “All-Star”) encircled by a ring. The star and ring, in turn, were affixed atop an impressionistic, open triangular shape that suggested forward movement and achievement. These sculpture trophies were produced in pewter. The triangle and ring components of the sculptures featured a brushed pewter finish, while the star component was plated in gold. The sculptures were then mounted in round black marble bases that featured personalized gold-fill engravings of the award name, recipient name, and year of presentation.
These achievement awards are presented to companies in a variety of award categories, including the Industry Catalyst Award, Vendor Partner Award, Retailer/Team Dealer Award, and Community Collaboration Award. These company award winners were chosen by a committee of NSGA members based upon nominations. The custom Bennett trophies were presented to award winners at the NSGA Management Conference & Team Dealer Summit’s All-Star Awards Luncheon.
