Mother’s Day is upon us and what better way to celebrate it than a spotlight on one of our recent custom awards designed for our clients at Irth. Irth is an app where women can find prenatal, birthing, postpartum, and pediatric care reviews for Black & Brown women. The creator, Kimberly Seals Allers created this platform to equalize the experience of giving birth in this country.  Kimberly’s own experience, like many other POCs’ she connected with, hadn’t been honored and was traumatic. She believed motherhood is a beautiful and sacred experience, and all mothers deserve a pleasant experience when bringing life into the world.

As we reflect on our recognition award collaboration with Irth, we couldn’t help but feel inspired by the passion and dedication behind this meaningful initiative. The process of crafting this custom award was not just about the design; it was about the recognition of the tireless efforts of those who champion for motherhood. 

Meaningful Designs

The purpose of this award was for Irth App’s 1st annual award ceremony, Irth’s 23 for 2023 honored women who excelled as advocates for black motherhood. We brought this award to fruition with a focus on a design that symbolized each recipient’s power, strength, and resilience. This focus was intended to capture the essence of Irth’s mission. The awards, crafted with care, featured a gold-tone brushed aluminum piece on a black acrylic base. Each award is personalized with the recipient’s name. The joy and satisfaction of the winners and our client’s team was the true win for our creative team. 

As we honor mothers, it’s essential to recognize the importance of initiatives like Irth and their dedication to a positive, stress-free experience for mothers. Every woman deserves to feel respected, honored, and supported during such a beautiful time and it’s a collective effort to make it a reality. Happy Mother’s Day to all of our clients and community.
