Cate Blanchett Honored with Bennett Custom Award

We were honored to partner with Film at Lincoln Center to design and produce the 47th Chaplin Award, which was given to Cate Blanchett. On April 25th, Film at Lincoln Center presented Cate Blanchett the award at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. According to the Film at Lincoln Center’s website, “the event recognized the actor who has portrayed some of the most memorable characters committed to film, including Academy Award®-winning performances for Blue Jasmine and The Aviator. “

About The Creative Process

  • Originally Film at Lincoln Center was inspired by a modern take on twisted strip of film.

  • In our creative discussions, they mentioned metal and high sheen were elements that they’d like incorporated into the award.

  • The TIFF awards we created were an example that the Film at Lincoln team appreciated.

  • With a modern concept in mind, our design team recommended a streamlined cylinder with a reel engraved on the top.

  • We determined the award would look best made of high-polished CNC 6061 aluminum.
