Grocery Outlet Commissions Bennett Custom Awards for The Cannys Recognition Program

About The Custom Award

This year, the Bennett Awards team collaborated with Grocery Outlet, a SF Bay Area-based grocery chain with 370+ locations in 6 states, on a custom award for one of their corporate recognition programs.

Grocery Outlet had just launched a new corporate awards program called "The Cannys," which is in homage to their start in 1946 as a cannery sales store in San Francisco.

The Grocery Outlet team came with a few different design inspirations. They wanted something that could easily fit on a desk, and that had a place for personalization. They ideally wanted the physical awards to reflect either the shape or outline of a grocery food can.

We created a 3-d acrylic machined can award with a removable lid. The label of the can included the personalization.

Towards the end of the design collaboration process, Grocery Outlet had the idea to add a “nutrition facts” label to the back with their Grocery Outlet company values: Achievement, Diversity, Entrepreneurship, Service, Family, Integrity, Fun.

Grocery Outlet gave out these awards at their end-of-the-year celebration.
