Garth Brooks and Pitbull Receive Bennett Custom Awards
Music superstars Garth Brooks and Pitbull were both recent recipients of custom recognition awards created by Bennett Awards.
Both artists earned the prestigious SoundExchange Digital Radio Award, which is awarded to artists amassing over one billion digital performances on the more than 2,500 digital radio services that partner with SoundExchange.
Brooks is the number one selling solo artist in U.S. history, and is the first country artist to be honored with this award. He received his award from SoundExchange President and CEO Michael Huppe prior to his appearance at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena.
Pitbull is the first latin artist to received the SoundExchange Digital Radio Award. He has sold more70 million songs, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He received his recognition award prior to his concert at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.
For these custom awards, Bennett Awards created pewter sculpture awards in the shape of a headset. These unique sculptures featured a brushed pewter finish, and were mounted on orange anodized aluminum bases with engravings of the SoundExchange logo, award name, and recipient name.
SoundExchange helps the music and creative community thrive in the digital age. SoundExchange is the independent nonprofit collective management organization that collects and distributes digital performance royalties to featured artists and copyright holders.
