Global Semiconductor Alliance Commissions Bennett Custom Awards
The Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) commissioned a set of unique Bennett custom awards for their 2015 GSA Awards Dinner Celebration. For the past 21 years, these prestigious awards have recognized the achievements of semiconductor companies in a number of different categories, including outstanding leadership, financial accomplishments, and overall respect within the semiconductor industry. The GSA supports the overall global semiconductor industry and its partners by offering a comprehensive view of the industry. This enables members to better anticipate market opportunities and industry trends, preparing them for technology and business shifts.
The annual GSA Awards recognize semiconductor companies that have demonstrated excellence through their success, vision, strategy and future opportunities in the industry. Specific awards include:
Most Respected Public Semiconductor Awards
Best Financially Managed Semiconductor Company Award
Analyst Favorite Semiconductor Company Award
Outstanding Revenue Growth by a Private Semiconductor Company
Outstanding Revenue Growth by a Public Semiconductor Company Award
Start-Up to Watch Award
Most Respected Private Semiconductor Company Award
Outstanding Asia Pacific Semiconductor Company Award
Outstanding EMEA Semiconductor Company Award
In addition to these awards, the GSA’s most prestigious award, the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award, recognizes individuals, such as its namesake, Dr. Morris Chang, for their exceptional contributions to development, innovation, growth and long-term opportunities for the semiconductor industry.
For these distinguished awards, the GSA commissioned Bennett Awards to create a new custom award design that reflected the achievement, spirit and innovation inherent to the GSA Awards. Bennett Awards created a set of hand-blown glass art awards that were individually unique, reflecting their handmade craftsmanship, yet still were part of an integrated, cohesive design. These unique glass awards were teardrop shaped, with a clear outer form and an opaque blue crystal form inside each award. Each award also had golden freeform linear patterns that added a dynamic, flowing element to the design. These colors were based on the design theme for the event. A special, larger award in the same shape and style was created for the Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award. Each award was mounted on a crystal base with an engraved plate with the award and recipient names.
These awards were presented to recipients at the GSA 2015 Annual Awards Dinner Celebration, held December 10, 2015 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California. The event was attended by over 1,500 semiconductor executives, and featured General Stanley McChrystal, former Commander of the U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan, as the keynote speaker.
