NIKE Chooses Bennett Custom Awards for EYBL

For the second straight year, NIKE chose a custom awards design created by Bennett Awards for their EYBL (Elite Youth Basketball League) championship trophy. Bennett Awards designed this custom award for NIKE for use as a perpetual trophy. The winner of the NIKE EYBL championship each year receives this custom recognition trophy.

The NIKE Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) was developed to form a unified league among travel teams that focused on a consistent high level of play. Featuring NIKE’s 40 elite 17 & under travel team programs, the league allows for continuous competition at each location as team records are cumulative throughout all league play. The top 24 teams after the three regular season events qualify to play in the EYBL Finals at the NIKE Peach Jam in North Augusta, SC. This year, the event was held from July 12-15, 2011. The winner of this year’s championship was the Boston Amateur Athletic Club (BABC), who defeated Memphis YOMCA 84-67 in front of a packed crowd at the Riverview Park Activities Center.

This unique custom perpetual trophies design stands 22” tall, and features a 24” pewter NIKE basketball mounted on a 15” tall custom-made hardwood base. A silver plate is attached to the front of the base, and features customized engraving with the NIKE EYBL logo and name. Each year, an additional personalized plate with the winning team’s name is added to this unique custom award.
