Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz Among Recipients of Custom Bennett Recognition Awards

For the seventh consecutive year, a group of women who have made a profound impact on the film industry received custom recognition trophies created by Bennett Awards as recipients of Elle magazine’s Women in Hollywood Awards. The Women in Hollywood Awards recognize women for their outstanding achievements in film, spanning all aspects of the motion picture industry, including acting, directing, and producing.

The 2013 honorees of these prestigious achievement awards included Reese Witherspoon, Penelope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Naomie Harris, Melissa McCarthy, Nancy Meyers, Eva Marie Saint, and Shailene Woodley. Saint received the L’Oreal Paris Legend Award, and Woodley received the Calvin Klein Collection Emerging Star Award.

In recognition of their honor, each honoree received a unique, custom achievement trophy designed and produced by Bennett Awards. This award design was created by renowned Bennett Awards sculptor Tom Bennett specifically for this annual award ceremony. These classic award sculptures feature a graceful, impressionistic female figure entwined with a ribbon. The sculptures are cast in lead-free pewter, and feature a gleaming silver-plated finish. The statues are mounted on round black marble bases with custom engraving of the Elle and Women in Hollywood logos, the recipient name, and the year of presentation.

Recipients received their awards at the 20th Annual Women in Hollywood Award ceremony, held October 21, 2013, at the Four Seasons Hotel Beverly Hills. The recognition ceremony was hosted by Andy Samberg, and the event sponsors were Calvin Klein Collection, L’Oreal Paris, and David Yurman. Recipients were presented with their awards by Elle Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers and Senior VP and Publisher Kevin O’Malley.

Past recipients of these sculpture awards include Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry, Renee Zellweger, Scarlett Johansson, Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Aniston, Michelle Pfeiffer, Anne Hathaway, Jodie Foster, Kate Hudson, Hilary Swank, Diane Keaton, Sigourney Weaver, Katie Holmes, Lauren Bacall, Jane Fonda, Julianne Moore, Diane Lane, Emily Blunt, Naomi Watts, Selma Hayak, Amy Adams, Isla Fisher, Viola Davis, Jennifer Connelly, Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman, Emma Watson, Cate Blanchett, Susan Sarandon, Octavia Spencer, Elle Fanning, Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine and Julie Andrews.
