Figurative Sculpture Awards
One of the most popular award designs is that of a realistic figurine, standing at attention. The most iconic of these awards is the Oscar award used for the Academy Awards. This award trophy has become so engrained with the Academy Awards that they often referred to as just “The Oscars.”
In part because of the Oscars, figurative sculpture awards have become a symbol of achievement, and have been used for a variety of custom and stock recognition awards. These awards are often holding something relevant to that specific award presentation, such as the film reel held by the Oscar.
The foundation of these figurine awards, however, goes well beyond the Oscars. People have been creating figurative sculptures since the prehistoric age, and figurative sculpture based on the human figure has been one of the most popular themes. This style of sculpture is referred to by many monikers, including figurative sculpture, figurines, and statuettes, and while these terms can mean many different things, they are generally associated with a small sculpture of the human form.
These figurative sculptures can be created in a variety of poses (standing, action, etc.), and with a varying degree of realism – from highly abstract to anatomically correct. For awards, however, the figurines are generally standing still – stately and majestic – and have a high degree of realism.
We offer a range of figurine awards – extending from semi-abstract to realistic. All, however, are impressionistic and non-specific enough to make them applicable for a wide range of recognition needs. A couple examples of our more popular figurine awards are The Benny, and Gratitude.
Another unique feature of our figurative sculpture awards is that they hold an object that can be custom-created for the presenting organization. This custom object can be a logo, icon, symbol, or an object (hammer, house, comb, etc.) relevant to that specific award. This is a relatively quick and cost effective way of creating a unique, custom award – one based on a symbol of recognition that everyone understands.
