Sir Richard Branson Receives Bennett Recognition Award

A Bennett recognition award was recently presented to Sir Richard Branson at the Engage Today 2009 seminar held September 30 – October 3 in Calgary, Canada. Branson, a prominent English industrialist, philanthropist and billionaire, is best known for his Virgin brand of over 360 companies, including Virgin Records, Virgin Megastores, and Virgin Atlantic Airways. A Bennett Awards-based Global Passion Award was also presented to President Vigdis Finnbogadottir, the fourth President of Iceland, and the first elected female head of state. The Global Passion Award is presented to individuals in countries around the world who have been an inspiration to live passion-based lives. Recipients of this recognition award are recognized for the major contributions they have made in creating a Passion-Based Economy.

The unique Bennett recognition award "Eternal Spirit" was for selected for these unique awards.

The Global Passion Award is sponsored by Enlightened Alliances, whose principals, Chris Attwood and Janet Bray Attwood, are co-authors of the New York Times bestseller, "The Passion Test - The Effortless Path to Discovering Your Life Purpose." The Global Passion Award is part of The Global Passion Initiative, a worldwide program to raise awareness and provide the tools needed to refocus people in every country on passion-based decision-making.
